Operations Control Manger Placement
Situation
A tool & die company was struggling with improving
its operations and profitability. The company decided
to work with Ed Zenzola to analyze the business and recommend
improvements that would affect the bottom line. Mr.
Zenzola identified serious work flow problems which were
negatively impacting customer service, sales and working
capital. This was a job order business with most jobs
going through several work stations.
Solution
Serious job scheduling improvements were an imperative
but the existing management did not possess the skills
to make such enhancements. Mr. Zenzola reorganized
several customer service-related functions and combined
them with a new scheduling function. Additionally,
to better define their role and performance expectations,
a performance profile was created for an Operations
Control Manager position.
Result
Using the performance profile as the basis for our sourcing campaign Mr. Zenzola
identified and hired an excellent candidate with scheduling and manufacturing
operations control experience. After six months sales had improved 50% and
on-time delivery was 97%.

of challenges they were about to face.
Result

cultural sensitivity to operating in a foreign environment,
Pam and Ed Zenzola, with compassion and patience, prepared

candidate and their family had a very successful and
harmonious experience overseas.
Marketing And Sales Manager Placement
Situation
A Japanese company with a U.S. presence had a strategic
intent to develop new businesses in the U.S. The Japanese
headquarters had prior relationships with Italian apparel
designers and Chinese footwear manufacturers and decided
they should start a U.S. ladies footwear business.
Mr. Zenzola had been engaged part time with the U.S.
operation as their Business Advisor so they asked him
to find a Sales Manager with footwear experience. Mr.
Zenzola advised the company that market entry would
require significant market development before sales
could be realized. Brand awareness, product placement,
advertising and other market development issues had
to be addressed.
Solution
Mr. Zenzola assisted the company in writing a performance
profile to identify potential candidates with applicable
market development and sales experience. Candidates
were sourced by talking with buyers in department stores
and independent footwear businesses.
Results
A seasoned marketing and sales professional with extensive
market development accomplishments was hired who proceeded
to develop a comprehensive marketing and sales program
resulting in a successful launch of the brand.
